Description
Muay Thai boxing in Thailand is regarded as the most dangerous martial art throughout the Kingdom but is very exciting and graceful to watch and taken very seriously by the Thai people.
Fights in Koh Samui are held three times a week on Monday Wednesday & Saturday fights start at 9 pm and the evening normally lasts around three hours, with 8 & 10 bouts before the main fight.
The atmosphere in Petchbuncha stadium is excellent with live commentary and traditional Thai music. Thai and foreign fighters compete in the ring, most are international professionals or professionals who train at local Muay Thai gyms, and all fights are thoroughly entertaining.
Chawengs main boxing stadium Petchbuncha has been established in Koh Samui for many years.
The fights are advertised days in advance by loudspeakers, advertising billboards, flyers and even a longtail boat cruising along Chaweng Beach.
Many of the fights are highly entertaining and full of martial arts action.
