Muay Thai boxing in Thailand is regarding as the most dangerous martial art throughout the Kingdom, but is very exciting and graceful to watch and taken very seriously amongst the Thai people.
Fights in Koh Samui are held three times a week on Monday Wednesday & Saturday fights start at 9pm and the evening normally lasts around three hours, with 8 & 10 bouts before the main fight.
The atmosphere in Petchbuncha stadium is excellent with a live commentary and traditional Thai music. Thai and foreign fighters compete in the ring, most are international professionals or professionals who train at local Muay Thai gyms, and all fights are thoroughly entertaining.
Chawengs main boxing stadium Petchbuncha has been established in Koh Samui for many years.
The fights are advertised days in advance by loud speaker, advertising billboards, flyers and even a longtail boat cruising along Chaweng Beach.
Many of the fights are highly entertaining and full of martial art action.

Great action i enjoy watching this combat sport, it was interesting watching the foreigners against the Thai fighters. A thumbs up..
We had never been to any Muay Thai fight or any other boxing arena,
we wern' t to sure what to expect. The first two fights started a bit slow but the action soon heated up from the 3rd Fight. Most fights ended up by Knockout which was great entertainment. Overall we enjoyed it and recommended it to several people we met while on holiday.
